Summary

Where there are ghosts, Cassidy Blake follows 。。。 unless it's the other way around?

Cass thinks she might have this ghost-hunting thing down。 After all, she and her ghost best friend, Jacob, have survived two haunted cities while travelling for her parents' TV show。

But nothing can prepare Cass for New Orleans, which wears all of its hauntings on its sleeve。 In a city of ghost tours and tombs, raucous music and all kinds of magic, Cass could get lost in all the colourful, grisly local legends。 And the city's biggest surprise is a foe Cass never expected to face: a servant of Death itself。

Cass takes on her most dangerous challenge yet。。。

Another fantastic story written by Victoria Schwab。

4。5 stars。 I thoroughly enjoyed this book, but it did not feel like a 5 star for me。 However, I am still thinking about it a day after I finished it。Jacob’s story did not go where I expected, so maybe that’s my grievance。

This is a pretty good spooky-ish middle grade series。 I like that it delves into spooky topics, but in a way that kids can enjoy without being too freaked out if they're just getting into the genre。 This is a pretty good spooky-ish middle grade series。 I like that it delves into spooky topics, but in a way that kids can enjoy without being too freaked out if they're just getting into the genre。 。。。more

You know sometimes even though you are an adult with responsibilities it feels really good just to jump into a book meant for kids。 Because they might be "easier" to read and "less complicated" but they are also full of a kind of hope you only find in books aimed for 10-15 years old。This is why I really enjoy this series。 I'm definitely not the target audience but for a little while I get to pretend I'm 12 years old again, enjoying a little adventure just because and it feels good!I think this i You know sometimes even though you are an adult with responsibilities it feels really good just to jump into a book meant for kids。 Because they might be "easier" to read and "less complicated" but they are also full of a kind of hope you only find in books aimed for 10-15 years old。This is why I really enjoy this series。 I'm definitely not the target audience but for a little while I get to pretend I'm 12 years old again, enjoying a little adventure just because and it feels good!I think this is the last one of the series but I would definitely enjoy a few more if they come my way! 。。。more

3,5 Stars。 This was enjoyable and I still love Jacob so much。 Aaaaand everyone else 😅 I still think this was the weakest book of the three。 I am not sure if more books are coming but I would love to know more about Cassidys and Jacobs connection。 Also her mom needs to meet Jacob somehow 😄

3。5 stars。 Cute, but of course I liked #1 and #2 better。 Lara was as marvellous and kickass as expected though!

Wonderful ending to the trilogy and a great way to end my March reads!

That can't be the final book of this series, right? There are still lots of unanswered questions, like pretty much Jacob's whole existence for example。 That can't be the final book of this series, right? I love everything Victoria Schwab writes。 This series is so fun。

The end of this book definitely seemed to have a tone of finality to it, which makes me so very sad, especially after how quickly I blazed through it and how long I had to wait (it got pushed back 6 months from the original publication date, presumably because of covid)。 I’m sad that the series is potentially coming to an end。 This book definitely seemed a tad darker in spots than the previous two。The audio for this series is wonderful and I absolutely recommend it。

This books was a great addition to the Cassidy Blake series。 I am not sure if this is the last book or not but if it was it ended really well。 I enjoyed seeing the Cassidy and Lara becoming great friends and I enjoyed seeing her friendship with Jacob become stronger than ever。

I get Cassidy is like, 12。 But when her BFF is, Laura, a very pragmatic and logical though still very kind 12 year old。。。 it's hard for me to not get annoyed with her。 But the ghost-y bits are just as good as the previous two books。 If you've been reading this series I would say keep on with it! :) I get Cassidy is like, 12。 But when her BFF is, Laura, a very pragmatic and logical though still very kind 12 year old。。。 it's hard for me to not get annoyed with her。 But the ghost-y bits are just as good as the previous two books。 If you've been reading this series I would say keep on with it! :) 。。。more

Well I enjoyed this and it was a very quick read, it didn't have the same thrill of the previous two books。 I may have hyped myself up too much with the New Orleans location for this one。 We didn't get as much of the culture and lore for NOLA as we did for locations in the previous books and it was a bit of a letdown。 Still I love the characters and will read on if the series continues。 I could do with a few less Harry Potter references。。。 Well I enjoyed this and it was a very quick read, it didn't have the same thrill of the previous two books。 I may have hyped myself up too much with the New Orleans location for this one。 We didn't get as much of the culture and lore for NOLA as we did for locations in the previous books and it was a bit of a letdown。 Still I love the characters and will read on if the series continues。 I could do with a few less Harry Potter references。。。 。。。more

I liked the 2nd installment better, but the humor stayed true in this one, and I loved the discussions about life and death towards the end。 I love the friendships within this series as well as the unique settings in each book。 In this one particularly, I appreciated the role tarot cards play into the story。 I dont typically read nor enjoy middle grade but this series is an exception for sure!

To still include these references in your books? I don't。。。Please authors, stop doing it。It's 2021 we're over HP and JKR for good  reasons。。。 And there are so many other things and fandoms you can use for references。Anyway, yeah that's why I can only give this 3。5⭐ 。。。more
