Summary

The rules were clear: they could date for a week。 But someone forgot to tell love!

On a whim, high school third-year Yuzuru Shino asks out first-year Toji Seryo, who is notorious for being a weeklong lover—he’ll date the first girl to ask him out Monday morning and then promptly dump her by the following Monday! The boys start dating, and by Tuesday, the first inklings of attraction hit。 Can Seryo put words to his feelings before Monday comes, or are old dating habits too hard to break?

I loved this manga,I picked it up at the comic store since I thought it looked like a cute wholesome storie。 And boy was it!The story was so sweet and I love the couple, their interactions were so sweet and adorable to read! And I love the concept of the story centering around the whole week。 This is a story worth to read。

THIS WAS WAY TOO FUCKING CUTE。 I'M SAD IT'S SO SHORT。Super fluffy and real emotions。 No smut, a few kisses。Definitely some high reread value。 THIS WAS WAY TOO FUCKING CUTE。 I'M SAD IT'S SO SHORT。Super fluffy and real emotions。 No smut, a few kisses。Definitely some high reread value。 。。。more

This was not perfect by any means but I really enjoyed it! To be honest Yuzuru Shino and Toji Seryo were both bit annoying sometimes。。。 But at the end this story was really cute and it ended perfectly!

This was really sweet, and not entirely what I'd expected from the description。 The summary led me along the same assumptions as Shino: that Seryo was a charming, handsome, slightly heartless player who dated a new girl each week, carelessly dumping her before the next Monday came, without any interest in developing feelings。 The reality is that Seryo never intentionally set out to date a new girl each week; this isn't a game to him, and he has no specific rules set in place。 He had his heart br This was really sweet, and not entirely what I'd expected from the description。 The summary led me along the same assumptions as Shino: that Seryo was a charming, handsome, slightly heartless player who dated a new girl each week, carelessly dumping her before the next Monday came, without any interest in developing feelings。 The reality is that Seryo never intentionally set out to date a new girl each week; this isn't a game to him, and he has no specific rules set in place。 He had his heart broken by his brother's girlfriend, and he's earnestly longing to fall in love with someone else - someone different, someone better, who won't hurt him again。 It just never seems to happen with any of the girls who ask him out, so he gently lets each of them down once enough days have passed for him to be certain there's no future for them。 Seven days turns out to be just the right amount of time。Shino is, in his own way, as much of a heartbreaker as Seryo。 On the surface, he's everything girls want: handsome, elegant, composed。 An ideal match。 But the reality is different。 His personality is much sharper - more brusque and impulsive and periodically thoughtless。 When girls discover what he's really like, they break up with him in disappointment。 He's not shattered, exactly, but it is difficult going through life knowing that most people only relate to you - only want you - on a purely surface level。Then, on a whim, while he's talking with Seryo on a Monday morning, he proposes a new game, an experiment for them both。 Since Seryo says yes to the first person who asks him out each week, why can't it be Shino? The rest of the story is fairly predictable, with lots of misunderstandings and mutual pining and lovely moments as they realize they're both falling for each other。 Despite the length of this dual volume book, the ending felt a bit rushed, and slightly out of tune with the rest。 There was no reason for Shino to tear up their movie tickets, other than for dramatic effect and to temporarily shatter Seryo's unexpectedly sensitive heart。 But I suppose it fits, in a way, with Shino's impulsivity, which is something that Seryo genuinely likes about him。 He doesn't want Shino to change; he likes him for who he actually is, which is all Shino has ever wanted。 There were other bits of plot that weren't really fleshed out enough, like Seryo's relationship with his brother's girlfriend, which added some great depth to his character and motivations but was mostly just used as a plot device to make Shino jealous。 I like the soft addition at the end, though, with the understated recognition that these two have been together for a long time and will stay together for much, much longer。 。。。more

This was a cute idea, but nothing ever really fully happened? Yuzuru and Seryo kept dancing around what they really felt, and neither of them would verbalize anything。 And then they kept laughing everything off as a joke。

[rating = B]I liked the setup for this story。 It is a bit different from other Yaoi mangas but still fits nicely into the category。 As with most stories, misunderstandings take over and each boy feels like this dating thing is a joke。 Each hears, from others, about their date and comes up with preconceptions。 Getting around these is the main thematic tension underlying the narrative。 I liked the sweetness of it (not dominated by sex or lust)。 Also, the idea of how we present ourselves and how ot [rating = B]I liked the setup for this story。 It is a bit different from other Yaoi mangas but still fits nicely into the category。 As with most stories, misunderstandings take over and each boy feels like this dating thing is a joke。 Each hears, from others, about their date and comes up with preconceptions。 Getting around these is the main thematic tension underlying the narrative。 I liked the sweetness of it (not dominated by sex or lust)。 Also, the idea of how we present ourselves and how others accept or don't accept us is rather important。 Though this wasn't my favorite manga, I did like the change of pace, and I found the situations not unrealistic (I think it was meant to be humorous at first and then turn into something serious, which it did。) 。。。more

Starting with an absurd plot parameter - that a sexy 1st year high school student dates girls for precisely seven days before moving on to the next - this adorable and touching manga goes on to deliver quite handsomely (no pun intended)。 Both narrative and artwork are engaging, but it's the quirky art that makes this manga sing。Third-year student Yuzuru Shino, on a lark, asks the first-year Don Juan in question, Toji Seryo, to date him for the next seven days。 Surprisingly, Seryo agrees。 Ove Starting with an absurd plot parameter - that a sexy 1st year high school student dates girls for precisely seven days before moving on to the next - this adorable and touching manga goes on to deliver quite handsomely (no pun intended)。 Both narrative and artwork are engaging, but it's the quirky art that makes this manga sing。Third-year student Yuzuru Shino, on a lark, asks the first-year Don Juan in question, Toji Seryo, to date him for the next seven days。 Surprisingly, Seryo agrees。 Over the course of the following week, the boys start to edge closer to one another。 Both are at first unaware of their dawning attraction to each other, and then both are afraid to admit it。 While both boys are identified as beautiful by the girls in the school (and even some guys), it's the way they reveal their inner lives to each other that fuels the attraction。Tender, tentative and sweet, artist Takari draws gorgeous double page layouts with near-perfect visual pacing。 Negative space, panel size, the visual rhythms between and within panels, and the distribution of value and texture are all deployed as if by a master, though this is Takira’s first manga。 Her figures, which you can sense underneath the rumpled and oversized school uniforms, have the extruded feel of a Giacometti sculpture, all gangly legs and arms yet somehow still elegant and poised。 And everyone keeps their clothes on, so this is a great manga for teens。 。。。more

This was fine。 I wonder if manga is not for me? I want more conversations than I tend to get in a manga。 This is one of the better ones I’ve read but I just want more。

I loved that this story is separated by days, and that is how the manga started。 The characters were amazing I loved both Yuzuru and Toiji and I liked the progression of their attraction towards one another。 And while they become attracted to one another there is a lot of self discovery as well。 This was an overall comforting and enjoyable read that I highly recommend。

This was my first manga and I truly fell in love。 It's upsetting the way that I got to this book but I'm glad I made it here。 I am obsessed with this story。 I find it super unique and really adorable。 I think that they obviously needed to communicate better, but also their teenagers so what can you really expect。 I was super happy to purchase this book after finding out that it was the victim of plagiarism。 It's really important to me that this book gets it's deserved recognition, and that the a This was my first manga and I truly fell in love。 It's upsetting the way that I got to this book but I'm glad I made it here。 I am obsessed with this story。 I find it super unique and really adorable。 I think that they obviously needed to communicate better, but also their teenagers so what can you really expect。 I was super happy to purchase this book after finding out that it was the victim of plagiarism。 It's really important to me that this book gets it's deserved recognition, and that the authors get the support as well。 I'm so glad that this is the book that brought me into manga and I can't wait to read another one。 。。。more

This was a really fast read, which is good, because I hated it。 Confusing art, overly angsty dialogue, and a story so obvious it was painful waiting for them to finally get it over with。

Can't believe I've read this for like a hundredth time and still got emotional。 (Not me lowkey listening to Arcade on repeat while reading)。 This is so pure I can't help it。 I definitely lately prefer soft, fluffy shounen-ai to yaoi。 And this will always be my comfort story to return to。 I remember how excited I was when they announced live action back then。 (Time to re-watch)。 The way they both fall in love during exactly one week but just keep silent about it till last minute doubting the feel Can't believe I've read this for like a hundredth time and still got emotional。 (Not me lowkey listening to Arcade on repeat while reading)。 This is so pure I can't help it。 I definitely lately prefer soft, fluffy shounen-ai to yaoi。 And this will always be my comfort story to return to。 I remember how excited I was when they announced live action back then。 (Time to re-watch)。 The way they both fall in love during exactly one week but just keep silent about it till last minute doubting the feelings of the other one。 And I adore all those moments Yuzuru is lowkey jealous and Seryou goes: "why u mad" while Yuzuru has this mental breakdown: "yeah。。why I'm mad"。 What else I love about it? There's no "I'm not gay" moment。 Oh, I'm so sick of those。 That's why I said this is so pure。 They never tried to deny their own feelings。 The fact that after a week Yuzuru comfortably said "I love you" is all I live for。 The fact, that when Seryou first kissed him, he accepted it without second thought。。yeah, more of stories like that please。This one is truly a gem among gems。 For me at least。 。。。more

A fairly enjoyable, easy read。 Many parts in the movie were vervatim of this manga which seems to be a common thing with Japanese live actions。The whole thing with Seryo and his brother's girlfriend was just as weird and confusing as it was in the movie。 I was hoping to get some clarity on that but it was still just。。。weird, and quite frankly, unnecessary。There were parts in the book that I liked better than the movie and there were parts in the movie that I liked better than the book。 But overa A fairly enjoyable, easy read。 Many parts in the movie were vervatim of this manga which seems to be a common thing with Japanese live actions。The whole thing with Seryo and his brother's girlfriend was just as weird and confusing as it was in the movie。 I was hoping to get some clarity on that but it was still just。。。weird, and quite frankly, unnecessary。There were parts in the book that I liked better than the movie and there were parts in the movie that I liked better than the book。 But overall, I prefer the live action。 I'd still recommend this manga though as it is a fairly clean romance。 No foul language or sex。 Just purely the discovery of feelings for another person and I liked that about it。 。。。more
