This is strictly my personal opinion of this book as someone who has an open mind with an inclination towards rational thinking。 I thought the book started well with a lot of intuitive points laid out by Sadhguru。 However, the book soon spiralled into pseudoscientific technobabble with a lot of focus on Sadhguru's personal demi god status and contradictory unscientific arguments that I personally found extremely hard to digest。 Definitely not a book for me。 This is strictly my personal opinion of this book as someone who has an open mind with an inclination towards rational thinking。 I thought the book started well with a lot of intuitive points laid out by Sadhguru。 However, the book soon spiralled into pseudoscientific technobabble with a lot of focus on Sadhguru's personal demi god status and contradictory unscientific arguments that I personally found extremely hard to digest。 Definitely not a book for me。 。。。more

I picked up this book with no specific question in mind or not looking for anything but did find it intriguing。 For most part, I didn't really agree to what was being shared in the book by Sadhguru but did like the thought process on few part about Death。Definitely a good read though。! It is a difficult read for sure if you believe so much in science。 But we all have some questions on the philosophy of life, and death。 This book addresses the fundamentals which we all know but fail to realise in our day to day。 I haven't finished the book yet, its a slow read for me。 But i guess that's the whole point of reading, to read at your own pace。 It is a difficult read for sure if you believe so much in science。 But we all have some questions on the philosophy of life, and death。 This book addresses the fundamentals which we all know but fail to realise in our day to day。 I haven't finished the book yet, its a slow read for me。 But i guess that's the whole point of reading, to read at your own pace。 。。。more

Definitely recommended for those question the natural processes of Life and Death。 Sadhguru manages to take us through the beautiful and massively misunderstood concepts of death with at most peace, clarity and closure。

Most of the things written in this book are the rituals we have been doing but don’t know why we are doing them。 And as his other books and YouTube videos goes, here too, Sadhguru has successfully answered the ‘why’ to every doubt in our mind (at least mine for sure)。

This book opened up my eyes a lot of Hindu rituals that I found meaningless。 The part I didn’t like is that the last half of book appears to be cheap attempt to sell membership of Isha Foundation。

An insightful book for everyone who wants to know the truth about what death is。

Death ! Everyone hates this word。 No one wants to die。 All who born should definitely need to die。 It is a fact。  But no one wants to accept that mere truth about life。 Sadhguru beautifully explains the various aspects of Death, After life, Reincarnation, Death rituals etc… Everyone concentrates on living well but dying well is also an equally important thing no one actually cares about。  Death is not an end, it is liberation。  For a spiritual seeker, neither God nor heaven is the goal-mukti or Death ! Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev elaborates on the concept of death, as seen in the Indian Culture。 He delves into the layers of abstraction that had been developed in ancient India, to make sense of the enigma that is death。 Is death really the absolute end? Can there be life after death? How can we consciously take steps to facilitate a 'good death'? Can there be life after death? How can we consciously take steps to facilitate a 'good death'? These are a few of the questions tackled in this book。 However, as far as my opinions regarding the book are concerned, I found some of these ideas quite fictitious, and to a certain degree, irrational。 That is probably because I like stressing the importance of reason and logic, which is something the author requests us to shed, before diving into the book; and into the concepts mentioned。 I found that a lot of these ideas were to be embraced by us without questioning the underlying principles。 This is why it seemed more like the analysis of a section of some antediluvian mythological work, that dealt with the same topic, rather than the presentation of rational theories based on concrete and converging bodies of empirical evidence。 The philosophy one must adopt while facing life and its complement, death, was something on which, I agree wholeheartedly with the author。 Other than that, unless I can get my hands on some research that seductively proves the hypotheses delineated in the book, my statements stand。 。。。more

I read this book in a tough time of my life。 It does show a different perception of living and dying。 I was ok that I’m gonna die one day or any day。 That wasn’t an issue to me。 In this book I understand how should I be prepared for a proper exit and with that understanding how could I live my life well。 Pranam Sadhguru。

I tried hard to read the book but just couldn't finish it。 It was like a lonnnng sermon by Sadguru where, true to his style, he mocked the general mindset without revealing anything of substance。 I'll see if I can get to it sometime。 I tried hard to read the book but just couldn't finish it。 It was like a lonnnng sermon by Sadguru where, true to his style, he mocked the general mindset without revealing anything of substance。 I'll see if I can get to it sometime。 。。。more
